I then decided to upgrade to the Motif XF8. With Motif XS8 you got integrated mLAN (Firewire) out of the box. but I really miss an action similar as a real piano. You'll notice the action softer which makes easy to play synth like sounds. The Motif XF 8 has a Balanced Hammer Action. Personally, I prefer a Weighted Hammer Action. Nowadays, WiFi is pretty popular and easier to setup. Motif XF includes an Ethernet (cable) port.
Many guys think that Motif is hard to learn, I think this could get easier with a nice touchscreen. This is a great way to ease the operation. I think that a resolution of 640x480 (or similar) would be really better for the interface. There are some features I would like to have, like the following: Now, you can add KARMA abilities to the Motif XF which greatly expands your performance. Those really rock and inspire me like never before! I really love the samples for CF3 and S6.
The synthesis AWM2 is really great, allowing you to get stunning sounds and you get tremendous control over every aspect for your programs.
